Air Jordan 12 and the new FIBA design:

The FIBA World Cup will be launching towards the end of the summer and in order to celebrate this momentous occasion in sports Nike is launching a brand-new version of its Jordan 12s with the FIBA coloring on them.

FIBA this year will be taking place in China and the colors of this prestigious international basketball tournament are reflecting some of the vibrant colors from the region. Nike has integrated a number of global colors and simple accents from their typical Air Jordan 12 Line and meshed them together with the featured in fluorescent vibrant colors that are found in the FIBA world cup logos.

Some of the most striking features on these shoes include the metallic accents of gold that are spread across the lace loops as well as in the midfoot area of the badge. The bright golden colors pay tribute to the host country and produce a very crisp look for these sneakers.

A bright red shape is also used throughout the detailing along the sneaker and sockliner. Red and white dominate the majority of the Air Jordan 12 design and this total shift to a more vibrant red emulates the color found on china’s flag.

The white tumbled leather is versatile and it serves as a striking backdrop for the black and red carbon fiber plates and the red/gold accents found throughout the shoe. This set release for this new Air Jordan 12 design is available on August 24. These are slated to be some of the coolest worldwide themed Air Jordan’s available for release this year. Nike is producing a series of Jordan’s for FIBA with this as it launching point. Releasing shortly after is a new version of the Air Jordan 4 line with FIBA coloring too!
