After a few decent concept releases as well as a few duds, concept artists have revealed yet another absolute masterpiece that will likely go on to become one of the greatest concepts of all time. Presenting, the perfectly color-blocked Nike Air Max 90 Magma Wolf that seemingly takes inspiration from the Wolf Grey colorways along with a mix of bright Magma Red hues. Stick around as we take a detailed look!
The Air Max 90 has a special place in modern sneaker culture as unlike many other popular sneakers such as Yeezys, these are highly customizable due to the paneling. Nike made it that way by design which allowed them to make a plethora of colorways and keep this silhouette’s popularity evergreen. Restocks and iterations also keep the hype alive, such as the re-release of the AM90 Infrared in 2021, however, this year has been different. Popularity has seemingly dwindled due to the lack of new exciting colorways but hopefully, that is something artists can alter with concepts such as this Air Max 90 Magma Wolf.
Starting with the design that’s attractively stealthy, this concept appears to feature leather construction with mesh hits in a grey and red color scheme. Wolf Grey leather appears on the toes and the mudguards that wear black plastic “Air Max” badges near the rear quarters. Toe boxes are mesh, as with most actual Air Max models, sitting underneath black leather eye stays as well as black plastic eye stays on the sides of the throats. Speaking of which, the throats also don a black material and are wrapped up in traditional black laces.
These lead up to a pair of black tongues with matching tags that are contrasted by Magma Red “Nike Air” branding. Interiors and sock liners also blend right in with a stealthy black shade, complementing the heel tabs on the rears that likely also feature additional embossed branding that you’ll find on any Air Max 90. A sharp contrast is provided by the cropped leather Swooshes on the sides while grey midsoles with exposed black Air Units and rugged grey outsoles finish off the design. Although no actual AM90 with similar hues touches this design in terms of attractiveness, the Black Radiant Red Wolf (2020) might interest you. For similar content, stay tuned for more!
