The Air Force 1 Low has myriads of colors already flooding the market which is likely because of how popular they are. As the go-to choice for artists around the world, the frequent releases of colorways usually end up in a few questionable choices that many may love while others would definitely not. The latest Nike Air Force 1 Low Arctic Blue Concept is likely one of them. However, concept artists don’t exclusively make these bold color blocking choices and oftentimes, Nike releases strange colorways either by chance or choice which challenges the norms and strives to be different.
If you take a look over on the secondary market, you’ll find endless amounts of Air Force 1 Low colorways, most of which you’ve probably never seen or even heard of. In fact, there are so many that even the most zealous sneakerheads may not be aware of every colorway out there. In August of 2021 alone, Nike dropped a staggering 11 more colorways with many more planned ahead in unique color combinations. This trend of frequent releases is inspired by the silhouette’s ever-green popularity and is reciprocated by concept artists with various new pieces every single month. After working with so many concepts, a few of them can make us scratch our heads such as this Air Force 1 Low Arctic Blue.
This sneaker features a construction that’s seemingly an all-leather build on the outside, ranging from the toe to the heels. Scuff guards feature a clean white leather material, a shade that starkly separates itself from the other color tones even with its neutral nature. Toe boxes feature the usual perforations and a bright Arctic Blue hue is likely the most interesting part of this colorway. A White leather shade continues onto the eye stays, the collar linings, and the interiors.
They’re then contrasted by black laces that are blended in with the throats, leading up to a pair of black tongues with bright teal tongue tags. Branding includes “Nike” and “Air Force 1” branding on the tongues while lateral sides feature the titular Arctic Blue side Swooshes that extend all the way to the heel tabs. These Swooshes sit against black leather side panels which complement the slightly lighter shaded black midsoles with embossed “AIR” branding. Underfoot, Arctic Blue outsoles finish off the design.
