We have seen a myriad of incredible to strange to just plain wrong colorways and concepts on the famed Air Force 1 Low. Many have been incredible such as the recent Air Force 1 Low Triple Stealth Bomber that carries a pretty simple black/grey design but one that goes a long way. Others are misses such as the Air Force 1 low Midnight Arctic Pink. This time, we have another questionable colorway that we cannot decide whether to commend for its creativity or reject for the use of a peculiar combination of hues. Presenting, the Air Force 1 Low Midnight Teal. A combination of retro “Midnight Navy” hues with a bright teal upper.
The Air Force 1 Low, in most cases, continues to sell out when released which says a lot about the colorway. These sneakers are released in very high numbers and in a lot of colorways. We have had 10s of new colorways in this year alone, probably more than any Air Jordan sneaker on the market. However, a lot of the colorways still manage to sell out which is a great feat for the sneaker. The timeless design of the Air Force 1 Low is likely why these kicks continue to be so popular. At any time and almost at any place, they’re always a great choice of footwear. That’s probably why it still inspires concept art such as this Air Force 1 Low Midnight Teal.
Coming to the design, a teal leather upper covers the majority of the shoe. Teal leather covers the toes, side panels with two perforations, and the heel overlays. Above the perforated toe boxes are Midnight Navy leather eye stays that are contrasted and hooped through by teal traditional laces which wrap the shoe’s matching throats. At the bottom of the laces are small navy lace ornaments that feature engraved “AF1” branding.
Moving up, teal tongues are contrasted by Midnight Navy tags and very dark Nike Air Force 1 branding that is barely visible. Sock liners and interiors are also navy and likely lead down to teal inserts with additional Navy branding. We can just make out what’s at the rear and it appears to feature teal heel tabs, likely with more embroidered branding while additional contrast is provided by the bleu leather Swooshes on the sides.
