Rise of the Mids! – The Air Jordan 1 Mid Midnight Teal

It comes as no surprise that concept artists are treating fans to a whole new range of concept art on the trending Air Jordan 1 Mid. A Silhouette that was largely forgotten before 2020 but received a significant boost in popularity these past two years leading to a plethora of brand-new colorways by Jordan Brand and artists alike. Following the Air Jordan 1 Mid Tropical Thunder, we receive yet another concept in the Air Jordan 1 Mid Midnight Teal! An elegant blend of Jordan Brand’s OG Midnight Navy with unconventional teal hits that would definitely turn heads if spotted in public.

For those that aren’t sneakerheads, the Mid-tops diverge significantly from their High-Top counterparts in 2 ways. The first being that the Mids cost less and the second being that they’re easier to buy for retail. Or at least they used to be. Since 2020, the Jordan 1 Mids have seen exponential growth in terms of sales, popularity, and resale value which came as a surprise to many. You may be wondering, these don’t really look all that different but the truth is, the value is all in the history of a sneaker and mid-cut Jordans don’t have much of it since they were never played in by Michael Jordan. In an unlikely turn of events, The Last Dance documentary of Michael Jordan elevated hype so much that the Mids can now finally be described as “hyped” in some cases.

This has led to various new artists using the sneaker for their concepts and in our opinion, they’ve done quite well, particularly with this Air Jordan 1 Mid Midnight Teal. Coming in a stealthy full-grained leather look, this concept mixes up an OG colorway with a recently popular hue known as “Tropical Twist”. Textured leather appears on the mudguards, heel overlays, and on the collars that also feature barely visible embossed Jordan Wings motifs. The eye stays also don a similar textured leather and is passed through by traditional Midnight Navy laces that envelop the sneaker’s matching throats that appear lighter than the textured leather. Throats lead up to a pair of vibrant teal tongues and matching collar lining.

Although we don’t have an angle, you could probably expect the insoles to rock a similar teal hue as well to match the lining.  The perforated toe boxes and side panels, on the other hand, opts for smoother leather underlays that wear a lighter shade than the sneaker’s wrinkled overlays. While there’s probably nothing else out there on the market, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Aqua Blue Tint may interest you if you’re digging these pairs. Coming back to the design, bright teal lateral side Swooshes, navy midsoles, and teal outsoles add the finishing touches. For similar concept art and more, stick around!
