The All-new Air Jordan 4 Black Aqua

The Air Jordan 4 receives a lot of love from concept artists and this time, they’ve come up with a colorway that makes us ask ourselves “How hasn’t Jordan Brand Implemented This yet?”. Introducing, the Air Jordan 4 Black Aqua, an alluring new concept with a jet black base and chilled blue overlays.

The Air Jordan 4 released in 1989 and was designed by Tinker Hatfield. A legendary sneaker designer that created arguably the greatest Air Jordan ever, the AJIII. In an attempt to outdo himself, Hatfield came up with the famed Air Jordan 4 that’s still a top-seller and a fan-favorite for many.
Over the Years, Jordan Brand has made this silhouette the subject of one of its most hyped collaboration with also a few hyped retro and OG releases that for the most part don’t diverge much from the usual. Concept artists, however, have been dropping various designs that do a lot to ameliorate this silhouette’s already striking design.
The Air Jordan 4 Black Aqua is a perfect example of these designers’ artistic adroitness.

This sneaker features a jet black base that’s likely the construction of a mix of materials. The toe boxes appear to feature jet black smooth leather that extends all the way to the sides and onto the rear panels.
Right below the toe boxes, scuff-guards features a vibrant tumbled leather aqua color tone that provides a stark contrast and also appears on various other parts of the sneakers.

This hue, although reminiscent of the AJ4 University Blue, is used rarely on the Air Jordan 4. Appearing mostly as minor hits and accents mixed with various other color tones. Hopefully, it isn’t naïve to believe that Jordan Brand may one day be inspired by this masterful design.

Above the toe boxes, you’ll find mesh throats that are wrapped up in plain black laces. These laces go through leather aqua eye stays and four black metallic eyelet panels that are stationed between black mesh side paneling.
The throats lead up to a pair of black leather tongues with tags embellished by aqua “Jump-Man logos on each sneaker. This hue appears once more in tumble leather as accents on the collars.

Lastly, white midsoles with exposed Air Units and Aqua outsoles complete the design.

The lack of a similar color combination on the Air Jordan 4 leaves much to be desired, however, the Air Jordan 4 University Blue may be something that could interest you.

Stick around for a lot more to come!
