The Greatest GS Colorway? – The Air Jordan 4 Blue Christmas Sweater

With the Holiday season upon us, we are receiving a number of Christmas-themed and winter-themed releases from sneaker manufacturers, especially from Nike. However, not this year nor most years has Jordan Brand released Christmas-themed colorways which is a shame as they would likely be very popular. This latest concept by artists is a testament to how good and unique some of them can get and perhaps if implemented in real life, would be a very memorable release. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Blue Christmas Sweater which looks very similar to the Green Christmas Sweater concept we’ve also covered.

Nike has been releasing Christmas-inspired sneakers for ages and continues to even to this day. Their latest is perhaps the Nike LeBron 20 Christmas that was released in December while other Air Max and Air Force 1 Lows are also very popular when they’re dressed for the Holidays. Jordan Brand, however, seems to not indulge in the Holidays as much in terms of releasing such colorways. The only OG Jordan sneaker that has a Christmas-themed release is perhaps the Air Jordan 1 Mid Christmas which was released in November of 2022 while they’ve also released a Kids’ exclusive that is dubbed “Ugly Christmas Sweater”. Concept artists, however, do not shy away from the idea.

Coming to the design of the Air Jordan 4 Blue Christmas Sweater, it features a blue, white, and red color scheme with various graphics. White tumbled leather toe boxes feature “Merry Christmas” text while plain white toe boxes extend and cover the side panels. On the sides, a graphic of Santa-Clause is stamped on, dabbing and riding the midsoles which are possibly one of the most creative features of any concept art in recent months. Red netted panels on the throats provide contrast while covered in light blue laces that are hooped through white eyelet panels and through 4 metallic grey eyelets.

The tumbled leather tongues feature red tags with icicle graphics, reminiscent of a typical ugly Christmas sweater along with a black Jump-Man logo. The tongues are bordered by a blue shade, matching the sock liners and the interiors. Though we do not have a view, the rears seem to feature contrasting red pieces likely with additional embossed branding. Red netting covers the side panels are overlain by blue triangular leather pieces. White midsoles with blue hits and red outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!
