A Pretty Fresh New Addition-The Air Jordan 4 Dark Mint

The Air Jordan 4 returns as a concept yet again and this time, dons peculiar color tones that we have rarely ever seen before, especially on an Air Jordan. These sneakers are highly popular and still remain one of the most highly anticipated sneaker releases every year. Its paneling not only features allowance for a lot of customizability but they also look great in almost all of the primary colors. Now, we present to you the Air Jordan 4 Dark Mint which features black uppers with minty teal hits!

Retailing at a whopping $1000 when they released in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 was one of the most expensive sneakers at the time. Tinker Hatfield tried to make them look lux instead of just another performance sneaker which added to the mass popularity of the shoe. These sneakers also introduced nubuck to Air Jordan shoes which would go on to be used in many future Air Jordan sneakers. The AJ4’s history is special as Michael Jordan was wearing them en route to his 1988-89 championship where he achieved his personal best and averaged 32.5 PPG, 8RPG, and 8 APG. Due to its history, the Air Jordan 4 is still highly popular and inspires concept art such as this Air Jordan 4 Dark Mint.

Uppers on this sneaker feature a black nubuck build with matching black stitching. Black appears on the toes, and mudguards that wrap the sneakers all the way to the heels. Toe boxes feature a similar black construction while moving up, we find mesh netted paneling with black backgrounds along the throats that complement the side panels of the shoe. These throats are wrapped up in traditional black laces that blend right in and are cornered by 4 metallic grey eyelet panels.

Moving up, you’ll find a pair of black leather tongues, embellished by titular Mint tags with black Jump-Man logos and grey sock liners. Interiors also seem to feature mint hues and if you use a bit of imagination, you may be able to construct matching mint inserts with black Air Jordan branding. Heel tabs are also not visible from the front but we can make out enough to know that they’re also teal and likely feature additional embossed Jordan branding. Moreover, additional contrast is provided by the triangular side leather heel pieces. Jet black midsoles and titular mint outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!
