While fans are seldom treated to a new Air Jordan 4 every month, August saw quite a few hyped releases that not only flew off shelves but resold for hundreds over retail. While Jordan Brand has been busy with this silhouette, as have concept artists. Presenting, the stealthy yet bold Air Jordan 4 Grey Oregon. As a fan-favorite silhouette and a worthy successor to the Air Jordan 3, Jordan Brand reserves the Air Jordan 4 for truly special colorways.
Starting the year of with the supremely hyped Air Jordan 4 University Blue and White Oreo, it appears that MJ’s 4th signature silhouette is on its way to claiming yet another spot as the top-dog in the sneaker world. Not only are they selling out, the average worth of the AJ4 is also appreciating. This can partly be credited to the return of classic colorways, and the arrays of exciting new concept art on the sneaker. This time, artists dress the 4th Air Jordan in an ACG-like colorway that remains stealthy yet likely would be turning heads if spotted on the streets.
Air Jordan 4 Grey Oregon | A Closer Look
Dressed in a grey, black, and yellow color scheme, these sneakers at first glance evidently nod at the Air Jordan 4 Oregon Ducks from 2012 that released in 2 colorways.
This concept borrows hues from both and amalgamates it into a third imaginary iteration.Mudguards feature a muted grey-colored leather that’s complemented by matching laces that go through darker shaded leather eye stays and metallic grey eyelet panels.
The lateral features netted mesh panels, complimented by similarly constructed throats that lead up to a pair of grey leather tongues. Both tongues don vibrant yellow tongues tags with black Jump-Man logos that match the triangular leather pieces on the sides.
Although only hints of this color are used, the dark background provides for a stark contrast, Reminiscent of the Jordan 5 Oregon Ducks “Duckman” from 2013. Grey interiors and lining blend in nicely with the rest of the upper. Meanwhile, jet black leather appears on the mudguards to darken things up even further. “Yellow Strike” hues on the midsoles add to the contrast while plain white midsoles finishes off the design.
While these kicks may be imaginary, unfortunately, anything close to them in reality is worth north of $10,000. With that being said, stay tuned for more concept art to come!
