The Coolest AJ4? -The Air Jordan 4 Gun Metal Grey

We’re back with a new Air Jordan 4 concept but we wouldn’t call this concept entirely new as this has very likely been inspired by a certain colorway that was released not too long ago. Concept artists have realized how to design very attractive colorways sometimes with the help of pure imagination and other times by building off and improving iconic OG colorways. From the looks of it, this brand-new concept might be a subject of the latter. Presenting, the bold yet stealthy Air Jordan 4 Gun Metal Grey. A dark colorway with smooth grey leather overlays and jet-black contrasting underlays.

Over the years, the Air Jordan 4 has remained a fav-favorite for many, especially for those that wear these sneakers as fashion-wear instead of basketball. Although they are good shoes to use on the hardwood, they’re not quite up there among the best of them. The Air Jordan 4 does provide good traction and heel cushioning thanks to the Air Unit but its fit, support, and lockdown are mediocre at best. Thankfully, this silhouette makes up for mediocrity with an iconic design that’s loved by many and can be dressed up to fit a myriad of occasions. For this reason and, that the shoes are gaining even more popularity this year because of the release of hyped retro colorways, fans are being treated to more concepts such as this Air Jordan 4 Gun Metal Grey.

Starting with its stealthy upper, this sneaker does not shout out for attention but demands respect with its bold and serious aesthetics. A gun metal grey hue predominantly covers the sneakers in a tumbled leather material construction. It appears on the toes and the mudguards that extend all the way to the heel tabs of the shoe. Throats feature jet black netted mesh panels and are covered with even darker traditional black laces that go through leather eye stays and four metallic grey eyelet panels.

Grey tongues with black tags and grey Jump-man logos adds more detail while black interiors and heel tabs that likely feature an embossed Jump Man compliments the sneaker’s other black hits. The side panels feature netted mesh panels, overlain by black leather triangular pieces. Underfoot, jet black midsoles with a barely visible Air Unit and gun metal grey outsoles finish off this bold new concept. This design is perhaps most reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 Cool Grey (2019) that features a very similar dominant hue but with fewer black hits, particularly on the side panels and the midsoles.
