Now We’re Talking! – The Air Jordan 4 Inky Charcoal

There is no shortage of Air Jordan 4 concept art but there is a shortage of actual colorways as there just are not enough bangers out there to choose from and if there are, they cost an arm and a leg. The Air Jordan 4 continues to be a highly profitable colorway, probably the most popular Air Jordan 4 on the market right now so seeing fire concept art is always very pleasant. This time, concept artists have knocked it out of the park once more with this all-new concept art. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Inky Charcoal that is submerged in an inky blue shade and contrasted by dark charcoal overlays.

In 2020, Jordan Brand began a pattern that lasted through 2021 of releasing highly anticipated original and vintage versions of the Air Jordan 4. Even if that has somewhat diminished in 2022, the buzz and value of these shoes on the secondary market are still at an all-time high. Their concept art is likewise unmatched, maybe even more well-known than the famous Air Jordan 1, which, together with the Air Force 1 and Air Max 90, is among the most recognizable shoe of all time. The stunning hues from Jordan Brand serve as inspiration for artwork such as this Air Jordan 4 Inky Charcoal.

Starting off with the design of this attractive new edition, dark blue inky hues cover the toes and the toe boxes that also cover the mudguards of the shoe. Toe boxes extend all the way to the sides and onto the rears. What appears to be blue netted mesh panels cover the throats against black backgrounds. These throats are covered by Inky blue laces and attached to 4 metallic grey eyelet panels. The tongues feature blue leather as well with charcoal tongue liners, charcoal tags, and black Jump-Man logos.

Sock liners are also dark charcoal that leads down to matching interiors and likely more Inky blue insoles with additional Jordan branding. The rears are not visible but we can make out dark blue heel pieces that usually also carry embossed Jordan branding. Coming to the sides, mesh netted paneling complements the throats while overlain by grey leather triangular pieces. Dark blue midsoles with exposed Air Units and dark blue outsoles finish off the design. If interested in a similar shoe, check out the Air Jordan 4 Winterized Loyal Blue on the secondary market!
