An Updated Thunder Red- The Air Jordan 4 Metallic Thunder Red

No matter how many iterations Nike releases of the Air Jordan 4, it appears that fans just cannot get enough. The same goes for concept art on this silhouette as even though there are a plethora of colorways available on the market, there is still much left to be desired by fans worldwide. As such, artists treat us to potential classics such as this brand-new Air Jordan 4 concept. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Metallic Thunder Red that takes after another recent release that was immensely hyped!

Stories of the Air Jordan 4’s popularity are everywhere and for good reason. These sneakers carry a ton of historic weight and were worn by Michael Jordan himself during some of his most iconic moments, as well as during his championship run with the Chicago Bulls. Collaborations on this shoe are second to non as well. In 2017, the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 lead to many fans desperate for a pair; some even went as far as hacking KAWS’ website to secure a pair either for themselves or to resell. Long lines in front of the store to secure a pair have also been very problematic in the past. It’s no wonder that concept art is as popular as it is today.

Coming to the design of this concept, the similarities are clear. These are possibly inspired by the Air Jordan 4 Thunder Reds that also feature a red and black color scheme with the exception of white hits. This Jordan 4 features black leather on the scuff guards, toe boxes, and mudguards that wraps up the rear quarters and the heels. The Side panels appear to feature black mesh netting with matching backgrounds and are overlain by a contrasting white leather triangular piece attached to the shimmering metallic red eyelet panels. Throats feature a similar netting and are wrapped up by traditional black laces.

The throats lead up to a pair of black leather tongues, contrasted by bright red tags and black Jump-Man logos, and red liners. Interiors and sock liners also feature a black shade, while the heel piece at the rear dons a titular red hue that could also potentially feature a black embossed Jump-Man logo. Red midsoles with exposed Air Units and white outsoles with red hits finish off the design.
