We’re back to bring you yet another masterful concept art of the famed Air Jordan 4 and similar to last time, it appears to be a transformation of the OG Air Jordan 4 Cool Grey. Instead of the grey base, this version dons a grittier grey upper with jet black overlays for a bolder and stealthier look. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Midnight Grey. In our opinion, this takes the cake for being the most attractive concept of the week!
Ever since the conception of this sneaker, they were designed to look and feel premium. How was this achieved? It was simple, Tinker Hatfield used his designing prowess to figure out an easy way to boost the shoe’s image just by dipping the mesh material in soft plastic and blowing air through it to clear out any residue. The end result was a more refined Air Jordan sneaker that many adopted as their go-to Air Jordan for street fashion. Would you believe that once upon a time they were considered “ugly” by various fans and critics alike? Thankfully for Jordan Brand, that changed quickly over the years and the silhouette became a fan-favorite for many.
Concepts such as this Air Jordan 4 Midnight Grey keeps the hype alive for fans like us that continue to yearn for new colorways like it. This model dons a dark grey leather upper with mesh panels and dark overlays. Grey leather covers the toes and the mudguards that extend all the way to the heels of the sneaker. Matching toe boxes lead up to a conventional mesh panel on the throats with grey backgrounds and a netted design. These throats are wrapped with jet black laces, providing a nice contrast that matches the tags on the tongues. Branding appears in its usual form, on the tongues with white Jump-Man logos bordered by dark grey trims.
Interiors and sock liners also indulge in the black shade, complementing the triangular pieces that are attached to four metallic grey eyelet panels. This quarter view doesn’t allow us a glimpse of the rears of the sneaker but they appear to wear titular grey heel tabs, likely embossed by a large Jump-Man logo. Complementing the throats are netted mesh side panels while jet-black midsoles and grey outsoles finish off the look. The reminiscent Air Jordan 4 Cool Grey features a lighter grey shade over the upper with white midsoles, yielding in our opinion, a weaker look. Stay tuned for more concept art to come!
