The Eastern patterns known as “paisley” have become quite popular embellishments on the revered Air Jordan 4. So much so that concept artists have featured them on Air Jordan 4 concepts multiple times now and they have all worked out quite well. This has been implemented before by Nike, particularly on the Nike SB Dunk Paisley that features similar patterns on a similar region of the shoe. However, it’s never been done on the Air Jordan 4 and some would argue that it should have been. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue Paisley! A fusion between the iconic Military Blue colorway and the ‘Paisley’ design pattern.
When it comes to hyped sneakers, the Air Jordan 4 is at the top of the heap because not only does its history pique attention and appreciation, but its performance has also lasted the test of time, as they remain popular choices for anyone looking for a pair to hoop in. These sneakers are famous for rocking on the streets more than for performance, and some people utilize them as assets for their resale companies. Although the Air Jordan 5 was formerly more popular, owing to Jordan Brand’s initiative of bringing back iconic vintage hues, the Jordan 4s have recovered its veneration and appeal. This has also sparked the creation of fresh concept art such as this Air Jordan 4 Military Blue Paisley.
Coming to the looks of this shoe, it appears to feature similar hues and color blocking to the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue which is an OG colorway. Dark blue covers the toe boxes and the side panels that reach towards the rear quarters and also don the titular Paisley patterns. Meanwhile, the toes are apparently constructed with crisp white tumbled leather. Moving up, mesh netting appears to cover the throats of the shoe and is completely wrapped up in clean white laces that are customary to many Air Jordan 4s.
These laces are cornered by matching white leather eye stays and hooped through 4 metallic grey eyelet panels. Above, you’ll find matching white leather tongues with black tags and titular Military Blue Jump-Man branding that complements the tongue and sock liners. The interiors are also blue while we can only imagine what the inserts look like. My guess is more blue with white branding or vice-versa. The heel tabs also seem to be white, likely with embossed Jordan branding. Blue midsoles with black Air Units and clean white outsoles finish off the design.
