A Striking New Addition-The Air Jordan 4 Orange Thunder

st year, Jordan Brand released a slew of new and retro colorways, some of which sold out instantly and resell currently for double their retail prices like the UNC Air Jordan 4. However, some may not be as profitable for resellers but they’re very similar in terms of popularity such as the Air Jordan 4 Red Thunder that sold out almost instantly. It appears that the concept artists have taken inspiration from them multiple times and created spin-off versions or just updated the design. This time, it seems that they’ve changed up the hues while keeping the same color blocking. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Orange Thunder!

The allure of the Air Jordan 4 is well-documented. Since Michael Jordan donned them during some of his most iconic moments, including his championship run with the Chicago Bulls, these shoes have a lot of historical importance. The collabs for this sneaker are also unrivalled. Collaborations like the ones with Union LA and OFF-WHITE are extremely valuable still. Long lines in front of the store to purchase a pair have also been a problem in the past which is a testament to the shoe’s popularity.  It’s no wonder that concept art is so popular these days, and the Air Jordan 4 Thunder is one of the most popular colorways that are used to base those concepts on.

Coming to the design of the Air Jordan 4 Orange Thunder, it’s clear where the moniker comes from. Instead of the red hits that are used on the actual sneakers, these feature bright orange overlays against dark grey leather which is jet-black on the original Thunder Red colorway. Dark grey tumbled leather covers the toes and the mudguards that carry all the way to the back of the shoe. Above the matching toe boxes are mesh paneling against orange backgrounds that are enveloped by the bright traditional orange laces.

These laces are cornered by metallic grey eyelet panels while the eye stays are also grey leather. Moving up, grey tongues are contrasted by more vibrant orange tags and detailed by black Jump-Man branding. Orange sock liners and tongue borders complement the other orange hits while interiors also likely feature the same titular hue. Although we don’t have a clear view, we can just make out black heel tabs that likely feature embossed Jordan branding. Coming to the side profile, similar black netted panels against orange backgrounds cover the sides, overlain by black leather triangular pieces. Lastly, grey midsoles and orange outsoles finish off the design. For more content such as this, stick around!
