After months of first seeing artists’ implementation of eastern patterns on modern Air Jordans, they seem to be sticking by this design as they come out with new and improved looks. This time, artists take it up a notch and have seemingly implemented the paisley patterns on the iconic Varsity Red color scheme that was known throughout the world since the silhouette’s conception in 1989. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Paisley Varsity Red! These feature a combination of red, white, and black shades with classic Paisley patterns.
The Air Jordan 4 is at the top echelon when it comes to hyped sneakers as not only does their history spike interest and admiration but their performance has also withstood the test of time as they continue to be popular choices for people that just want a pair to hoop in. Moreso than for performance, however, these kicks are popular for rocking on the streets while others use them as assets for their reselling businesses. Although the Air Jordan 5 was more popular at some point, the Jordan 4s have regained their reverence and popularity thanks to Jordan Brand’s campaign of bringing forth classic retro colorways. This has also inspired new concept art to sprout up such as Air Jordan 4 Paisley Varsity Red.
Uppers on this sneaker, as the moniker indicates, feature a combination of white, black, and Varsity Red color scheme. The highlight of this shoe is the Paisley knitted patterns on the black leather mudguards of the sneakers. The toes that lead to the side panels and all the way to the rears feature white tumbled leather that’s found on various other Air Jordans throughout history. Throats feature netted red mesh paneling with white backgrounds and are wrapped up in Varsity Red laces that are bordered by metallic grey eyelet panels.
Moving up, a pair of white leather tongues are detailed by white tags and black Jump-Man branding on each one. These are further contrasted by black Jump-Man branding that complements the sock liners and the heel tabs that are barely visible. Heel tabs also likely feature additional Jordan branding in an embossed fashion. Side panels feature additional netting with white backgrounds while red leather triangular pieces can be seen attached to the eyelet panels. Red midsoles with white pieces and exposed Air Units along with clean white outsoles finish off the design. If you want a similar pair, check out the Jordan 4 Varsity Red on the secondary market.
