The Air Jordan 4 returns for an exciting new piece of concept art that is apparently based on another highly popular colorway from Jordan Brand. This seems to be happening quite a bit and it’s working out well as even the most popular colorways leave something to be desired for someone which is where concept art comes in to fill in the gaps. This time, artists have seemingly built off another popular colorway by sort of reversing the color blocking which is something Jordan Brand has done themselves a number of times. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Reverse Military Black!
The Air Jordan 4’s prominence is well-documented, and for good reason. These sneakers have a lot of historical significance because they were worn by Michael Jordan throughout some of his most memorable moments, including his trophy run with the Chicago Bulls. In addition, the collaborations on this sneaker are unparalleled. Many fans were eager for a pair of the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 in 2017, and some even went as far as hacking KAWS’ website to get a pair for themselves or to resell. In the past, long lineups in front of the store to get a pair have also been a major issue but today, those ques are online, many of which are for digital assets such as sneaker NFTS. It’s no surprise that concept art has become so popular in recent years.
Coming to the design of this Air Jordan 4 Reverse Military Black, these kicks don a seemingly black leather construction that’s customary to most Air Jordans (although some have appeared in materials such as suede). Dark grey covers the toes of the shoe while black leather covers the toe boxes and extends over the side panels and onto the rears. The white netted mesh appears above the toe boxes and is wrapped up with black traditional laces that are cornered by 4 black metallic eye stay panels.
Leading up the laces you’ll find black leather tongues with grey liners and grey tags that are detailed by white Jump-Man logos. Interiors and sock liners are also black and add to the shoe’s stealthy appearance. The sides feature more white netting that complements the throats and are overlain by white leather triangular pieces attached to the metallic eyelet panels. Black midsoles and white top and bottom pieces along with clean white outsoles finish off the design. Check out the Air Jordan 4 Military Black if you’re digging these.
