If you’ve been a fan of the Air Jordan 4 for a long time, you might have noticed that there aren’t a lot of feminine colorways out there and the very few that are aren’t exactly too highly sought after since they wear color tones that many do not find appealing. In our opinion, this is one area where Jordan Brand can take notes from concept artists that continue to put their creativity on full display when experimenting on the revered Air Jordan 4. Presenting now, the Air Jordan 4 Strawberry Shortcake.
Recently, we’ve also seen another concept that seemingly draws inspiration from the Air Jordan 4 Pink Foil. The Pink Foil colorway features a patent pink upper with contrasting black and grey hits that just don’t do it for us. It’s too bold and in real-life, isn’t that wearable because of its overly flamboyant design. This latest concept, if implemented, would likely be one of the most popular women’s-exclusive or GS Air Jordan 4s ever. We’re quite enjoying all this pastel feminine concept art and we would be happy to see similar releases by Jordan Brand in the future.
The Air Jordan 4 Strawberry Shortcake is seemingly inspired by the rich desert itself with pink hues that predominantly cover the uppers. A soft pink hue covers the toes and mudguards and wraps the sneakers all around the sides till the rears. Toes lead up to netted mesh panels with a matching pink color tone that also deviates from the other parts of the sneakers with its apparent texture. Throats are covered with Hyper Pink laces that are attached to leather eye stays and 4 metallic pink eyelet panels. Heading up, you’ll find soft pink tongues that are seemingly constructed with pink tumbled leather, slightly contrasted by Hyper Pink tags with white Jump-Man logos.
Complementing the Hyper Pink hits are matching sock liners and interiors. Collars don cracked leather in a pastel pink color tone while the heel tabs seemingly feature a soft pink heel piece. Though we don’t have a view of the back of the sneakers, a white embossed Jump-Man would likely also be a nice touch. Side panels feature leather Hyper Pink triangular pieces while side panels wear matching netted mesh panels in a soft pink hue. Hyper Pink midsoles and soft pink outsoles finish off the design.
