Jordan Brand has been on a roll in 2022 and with the decline of one of their closest competitors in the hyped sneakers niche, they are set. For greatness in 2023. After Kanye West and Adidas split up, Yeezys will undoubtedly be on the decline when it comes to hype as, without their star, the brand is unlikely to surpass its former glory. Thankfully for Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 4 especially is growing in popularity and with the busy year ahead, there is no way but up for the Jump-Man. Concepts art is also not coming in slow as we’re treated weekly to a myriad of new entries. Presenting, the Air Jordan 4 Superman!
2022 has been great not only for Jordan Brand but also for its concept art. We saw a number of very attractive colorways, Retros that never came to be, as well as fictional collaborations such as the Dior x Air Jordan 4. With exciting colorways such as the return of the OG Jordan 4 Thunder planned for 2023, concept artists are also going all out with their creative prowess and this time, coming up with what appears to be a Jordan 4 with super-man-inspired colors. Or perhaps we’re just looking into it a bit too much. Either way, this is definitely an interesting one!
The base of the sneaker is grey with blue and bright red hits. Grey tumbled leather appears on the toes and the toe boxes that extend over to the side panels and onto the rears. The throats, as with most Jordan 4s, are netted and constructed with what appears to be inky blue mesh. The eye stays are also dark blue while 4 metallic grey eyelets are attached to all 4 corners of the eye stays.
Contrasting the gloomy blue hue are bright red laces, reminiscent of the bright red logo on superman’s blue suit. The tongues, on the other hand, are also grey with dark blue tags and grey Jump-Man logos. Tongue liners and sock liners alike feature a red hue and likely lead down to matching red interiors. Though we don’t have an angle, we can imagine these sneakers having blue inserts with red branding or vice-versa. Heel pieces appear to be grey as well while netted side panels are overlain and contrasted by red triangular pieces. Blue midsoles and bright red outsoles finish off the design.
