Fire Release for Females – Air Jordan 6 WMNS “Barely Rose”

Earlier this year saw the release of the women’s exclusive, Nike Air Jordan 6 WMNS Tech Chrome. A sneaker adored by all yet envied by those who unfortunately cannot squeeze into the female sizes. It seems as though Jordan Brand are lining up for yet another women’s exclusive AJ6, and we must say, it’s a fire release! Here we explore the heat of the Nike Air Jordan 6 WMNS ‘Barely Rose’.

It’s good to see that female sneakerheads are given some love on this one. The Nike Air Jordan 6 WMNS ‘Barely Rose’ seems to tick all the boxes and it certainly looks the part. The sneaker consists of a colour palette of white, soft pink, sail and finished with metallic gold fittings. We begin with the upper, where tumble leathers intertwine with soft velvety-smooth suedes. High quality materials by any means, the ‘Barely Rose’ has the feel of a luxury shoe whilst sustaining the aesthetics and functionality of a hooping great that is the Air Jordan 6. Perforated panels are still present regardless of the material and the sneaker showcases the white-on-white OG Nike Air logo on the heel – the last Jordan to offer this feature ahead of Mike changing to his Jumpman logo for the AJ7.

We expect the tongue to have a white satin-silk effect leading up to the signature AJ6 pull tab that is finished in a glossy glitter style soft pink. Arriving too are pink Jumpman logo’s that have been embroidered into the tongue and lay above the tradition lacing ladder. A pivotal feature of this sneaker are the sail suedes that make up the toe box and side panels. Without the sail, we foresee that the sneaker could look a little dull and with sail being a hot-topic right now, we expect the release to do very well indeed. One of the foregrounding features is of course the metallic gold fittings. The Nike Air Jordan 6 WMNS ‘Barely Rose’ boasts a gold lace lock, heel pull tab and a reworked Jumpman hang tag.

The midsole too arrives with a 3 tone look, pink, white and an off white gum. The AJ6 midsole is usually impressive regardless of the colourway as the colour blocking means that it can allow the sneaker to flow from top to bottom. We are super excited for this release, yet for now there has only been this photo for us to examine. Take a look below and be sure to check back in for future updates.
