In recent times, Nike has not been giving the Air Max 270 React a lot of love but thankfully, concept artists are and this is time, they treat us to another iconic colorway that’s enshrined in the minds of fans of Nike and Jordan Brand especially. The Black/Red colorway or “Bred” is always welcomed by fans around the globe and with this concept art, there is much left to be desired as Nike has yet to implement something like this on their silhouette. Presenting, the Air Max 270 React Bred! A stealthy design with hints of black and University Red.
We constantly evangelize about how urgently the sneaker industry needs to keep inventing, and the Air Max React 270 delivered on the innovation aspect. If the Air Max line’s peak years were the 1990s, the future of footwear would be bleak, thus it’s critical that Nike continues to release fresh styles alongside classics like the Air Max 1 & 90. Since 2012, the sneaker industry has seen a tremendous change in design and structure, with shoes becoming more curved, flexible, and sensitive. In light of this, find another shoe with a similarly sleek, minimalistic look, excellent form, and premium cushioning. We guarantee you’ll have a hard time. This is perhaps why the 270 React still has a cult following and inspires concept art such as this Air Max 270 React Bred!
Coming to the design, these kicks feature a black and red color scheme with hints of white. The uppers on this are a lot more complex than other Air Max sneakers as it features a leather upper that is secured with a bar tack stitching technique which prevents the eye stays from ripping out when being laced up. White leather covers the toes while black covers the side panels and the toe boxes that lead up to matching black eye stays with contrasting white lace loops.
Red contrasting throats lead up to a pair of red tongues with embossed branding, black sock liners, and interiors. Furthermore, the interiors likely lead down to more “Bred” inserts, matching the red heel pulls on the rears. The rears also don a white piece right under the heel tabs which complements the other white hits while side panels are contrasted by a red Swoosh on either side. Red midsoles with exposed Air units and white outsoles finish off the design. For more content such as this, stay tuned!
