A New Concept On A New Silhouette- The Air Max 270 React Laser Red

We’ve seen an innumerous amount of Air Max 90 and Air Max 1 concepts and it’s about time we mix things up with a silhouette that Nike referred to as an unexpected and a “runaway hit”. Presenting, the alluring Air Max 270 React Laser Red that features a reminiscent colorway to a few other past releases but is indeed an entirely fictional new design. It is also certainly a breath of fresh air as concept artists have noticeably started experimenting with other sneaker models. This one, in particular, is sure to be remembered as a clean yet sporty design that perhaps no one would object to if implemented in actuality.

This particular model was inspired by the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180 which featured a similar design including the midsoles. The regular Air Max 270 was released in February of 2018 and featured a design that revealed 270-degrees of the Air Unit, thus the fitting name. The 270 React, on the other hand, features are a hybrid sneaker design that utilizes the 270’s shape and cushioning unit with Nike’s proven React midsole. Interestingly, this silhouette didn’t become a household name because of the fusion of two popular cushioning technologies but because of the collaboration on it with Travis Scott. Thus, also inspiring fire-new concepts such as this Air Max 270 React Laser Red.

The design flaunts a crisp white upper constructed with a fine mesh material that you’ll usually find on Air Max 270 Reacts. Contrasting this clean white upper are brilliant red hues all throughout the uppers and underfoot. What appears to be leather is featured onto the toes while red mesh runs along the sides of the sneaker leading up the heels and transitioning into fine red heel tabs. White toe boxes lead up to red throats with a contrasting white lacing system and jet-black eye stays with bright red lace loops.

This concept is reminiscent of the Air Max 270 React Gym Red (2020) but instead of the red Swooshes and grey hits, offers a bolder aesthetic and we are all for it! Continuing on to the design, White sock liners and interiors blend right in while leather lateral Swooshes compliment the eyelet panels. Bright red React Elevated midsoles with exposed Air Units and rugged white outsoles complete the design. For more concepts, stay tuned!
