A Fitting Colorway For Fall! The Air Max 90 Halloween Pumpkin

The Air Max lineup has been at the forefront of many Nike celebratory releases or colorways that represent cultural festivities or causes. These sneakers are also popularized for this reason as well as the silhouette’s ability to carry different combinations of hues is unmatched. That is likely why you see so many colorways that are constantly being released monthly. On the secondary market, although resale is not very high for regular releases, it is for the special edition colorways such as Christmas editions and of course, Halloween editions. Presenting, the Nike Air Max 90 Halloween Pumpkin.

Nike has released many Air Max colorways to celebrate the forthcoming spooky holiday. A few noteworthy that come to mind is the Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger which, at the time of Halloween the year it was released, resold for as high as $500 per pair. In 2020, Nike also released the special edition Air Max 90 Halloween which featured an all-black upper at first sight but at closer inspection and with a little help of bright light, shows off its web and eye graphics with its reflective materials. It appears that concept artists are also in the Halloween spirit as they release their very own Air Max 90 fitting for the occasion.

The Air Max 90 Halloween Pumpkin features a black leather and mesh upper with hints of Pumpkin Orange on the overlays. Black leather covers the toes and the mudguards that extend over onto the sides and towards the rears. Usually, the mudguards feature cutouts with embossed Air Max tags but they are not visible here likely due to the lack of contrast. The toe boxes, on the other hand, do distinguish themselves with a mesh material that complements the collars of the shoe.

Lower leather eye stays are also black and get tucked underneath plastic black eyelet panels with traditional black laces hooped through them. These throats wrap up the shoe’s matching black tongues and blend right in. Interestingly, the tongues are also black with black tags and black branding that is barely visible. We do think Nike would never do that but the idea is still pretty decent. Interiors are likely also black, perhaps with orange or black branding. Heel tabs also seem to be black while the side panels give us the first bit of contrast with Pumpkin Orange cropped Swooshes. Black midsoles and black outsoles with Pumpkin Orange hits finish off the design. For more content such as this, stay tuned!
