A Trending Pattern on A Classic-The Air Max 90 Infrared Rose

There has been a resurgence of floral patterns on concept art in recent months and although Nike or Adidas has not implemented them much on their most popular sneakers, they have shown up before on many sneakers today. Starting from 2022, concept artists have started to implement more of these floral patterns in their art and most have shown up on the Air Jordan 4 such as on the Air Jordan 4 Royal Paisley and Paisley Red. They have been popular which is likely why those artists are now implementing similar patterns on the Air Max 90.

The Air Max 90 was the go-to sneaker before sneaker culture took off and prices for footwear began to soar over their original retail costs. These sneakers were a mainstay in most people’s wardrobes in the US even though they were designed to be a runner’s shoes. In reality, the Air Max 90 has been produced in all sizes since the 1990s, including men’s, women’s, toddler’s, and grade school. In order to make sure that nobody ever skipped out on these classics, Nike even made them available in men’s sizes up to 18! Stars like Jay-Z, Kendell Jenner, and many more are seen sporting these shoes nowadays, which attests to their enduring appeal. This has led to the rise of concept art like this Air Max 90 Infrared Paisley.

These sneakers feature what appears to be mesh and leather in a black, white, and red color scheme. Crisp white leather appears first on the toes of the shoe while jet black leather mudguards extend all the way to the rear quarters of the shoe. These mudguards also feature cut-outs with white backgrounds and blazing red or “Infrared” Air Max tags embossed onto them. The toe boxes are black mesh and complement the similarly constructed black collars.

Lower eye stays are also black leather while plastic black eye stays cover the sides and are passed through by traditional black laces. Throats are also black and lead up to a pair of normal black tongues with red contrasting tags and white “Nike Air” branding with a Swoosh. The sock liners and interiors are also white and it would have been interesting to see what color artists chose for the inserts. Our guess is red with white branding. Side panels are white with red Swooshes embellished with red rose graphics. These graphics also appear on the blocked Air Units on the midsoles that are otherwise white. Matching white outsoles complete the design. For more content such as this, stay tuned!
