A Better AM90 Racer Pink?-The Air Max 90 ‘Pink Panda’

Revealed alongside the Air Force 1 Low Pink Panda, a new Air Max 90 appears with almost identical hues. After using bold/never-before-seen color tones, concept artists are taking a more pragmatic approach. Presenting, the Nike Air Max 90 Pink Panda!

This silhouette is second only to the Air Force 1 when it comes it being ideal for experimentations. Almost every artist has had their take on this silhouette, leading to some very interesting colorways.

With masterpieces such as the Air Max 90 Rosewood, it’s easy to see why this silhouette is such as popular choice.

Not only did the Air max 90 revolutionize sneaker technology. It also introduced Nike sneakers to other markets such as European markets. Being one of the most popular sneakers in markets such as Russia.

Air Max 90 Pink Panda | A Closer Look

Coming to the concept itself, the Air Max 90 Pink Panda dons a black, white, and pink color scheme. Reminiscent of the Air max 90 Black Racer Pink. That colorway, however, opts for a darker look with wilder patterned tongues. The “Pink Panda” is relatively cleaner.

Featuring a predominantly leather upper, this Air Max 90 wears black scuff guards that extend to the side panels. Above these scuff guards are clean white mesh toe boxes. Complementing the additional white mesh detailing on the collars of the sneakers.

The black leather lower eye stays diverge into black plastic eyelet panels with traditional black laces coming through. Meanwhile, black throats lead up to a pair of black tongues with even darker tongue tags. These tags feature white contrasting “Nike Air” branding.

Matching this branding are white sock liners and interiors that feature a clean white shade. Heal tabs, on the other hand, features more black detailing.

The side panels are where things get interesting. Vibrant pink mudguards cover the side panels and are likely the highlight of the concept design. While the Air Force 1 Pink Panda features this hue on the side panels, the AM90 fittingly wears it on the mudguards.

Contrasting white leather Swooshes also make an appearance while small white “Air Max” tags are placed right below.

Underfoot, midsoles feature a clean white shade with exposed Air Units with black surroundings for additional contrast. Matching its “Panda” moniker fittingly. White outsoles finish off the design.
