Another Decent Colorway! – The Air Max 90 Reverse University Red V2

We get another Air Max 90 colorway from concept artists and this time, it seems to be another rendition of the Air Max 90 University Red with inverted color tones. These sneakers are always going to be in demand even though most probably already own a pair or have in the past even if you were a sneakerhead. A good reason for that is the number of colorways that are released yearly which enables everyone to have a pair according to their personal preferences. Concept artists do the same with many new concepts and this time, they have given us a banger yet again. Presenting, the Nike Air Max 90 Reverse University Red V2.

The University Red colorway nods at the classic colorways from back in the ‘80s that pay homage to Universities affiliated with Nike. University Red, which always featured white and red hues has been implemented on a number of OG Nike sneakers such as the Air Jordans, Nike Dunk Lows, Air Force 1s, and on the Air Max 90. These sneakers continue to sell extremely well for Nike and are popular within the concept art world as well.

Coming to the design of this shoe, the uppers are seemingly constructed with a mix of leather and mesh in a white, red, and black color scheme. Black leather covers the toes and the mudguards that extend all the way to the rears but are only disturbed by white tags with white Air Max embossed branding, similar to every other Air Max colorway. The toe boxes are distinguished with a mesh texture and situated right above are white leather lower eye stays. These eye stays are tucked underneath the customary plastic eyelet panels that are also white in this case.

Throats also carry a crisp white shade while wrapped up in traditional white laces that blend in nicely with the rest of the upper. Moving up, you will find matching white tongues with apparent padding, black contrasting tags, and University Red Nike Air branding. Sock liners are also black and lead down to black interiors, likely with matching black inserts and more University Red branding. Although we cannot see the rears, they too seem to feature white heel pieces with additional branding. Side panels don contrasting titular cropped Swooshes while red/white midsoles and matching outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!
