An Interesting Choice Of Colors- The Air Max 90 Royal Beige

Royal Purple color tones, as well as beige, have been rampant within Nike’s portfolio of thousands of sneakers, however, the combination of both is a pretty rare sight and to our delight, it actually works out quite well here on this brand new concept! Presenting, the Nike Air Max 90 Royal Beige that dons a combination of rich purple and beige across the upper in a typical mesh/leather build. These concepts can get pretty bold at times and thankfully, this one works out just fine!

Over the previous few months, we received a plethora of concept art, most of which had highly contrasting color blocking with many black hits that are separated by vibrant hues. Although that does work out quite well in most cases, that may have been getting a bit bland for some. We saw the Air Max 90 Crystal Rock that donned vibrant Teal and Black hues and before that, we were treated to the alluring Air Max 90 Honey Bee concept, both of which have the potential to be classics. This concept takes a different approach and mixes a rich royal purple with a more subdued beige overlay.

Uppers are seemingly constructed with leather and mesh, similar to most other Air Max 90s. A beige leather covers the toes while mudguards don a Royal Purple hue and extend all the way to the heels of the shoe. Speaking of which, the heels are only barely visible and feature a beige tag, potentially with matching purple “Nike Air” branding with a matching Swoosh. The mudguards feature a beige cut-out with embossed “Air Max” branding on each sneaker.

Meanwhile, mesh covers the toe boxes in typical Air Max 90 fashion, matching the similarly built collars.

Lower eye stays are made with purple leather that is tucked underneath beige plastic eyelet panels with matching traditional laces that cover the throats. The throats also wear the titular royal hue which permeates through the beige laces. Moving up, the tongues are a similar purple hue with purple tongue tags that blend right in and match the beige “Nike Air” branding. Although not visible from this angle, the interiors also likely feature royal purple inserts with additional beige branding. Cropped purple leather swooshes cover the sides while more purple on the midsoles, exposed Air Units, and matching purple rugged outsoles complete the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!
