The Air Max 90 is a silhouette that has been collaborated on a number of times by various companies. This silhouette has been a part of Undefeated and Clot’s recent collaborations and has been extremely popular every time. Even though the silhouette alone is not as valuable on the secondary market, collaborations on this shoe are very popular and sell out instantly which inspires artists to make up exciting fictional collaborations such as this one. Presenting, the Louis Vuitton x Air Max 90 Silver Dust!
The Air Max 90 is one of the most valuable sneakers in Off White and Nike’s collaboration named “The Ten” which features multiple Nike sneakers. That collaboration in particular is worth thousands of dollars on Stock and while other collaborations with Off White are also worth a lot of money. The Off White x Nike Air Max 90 Black, for example, has an average resale value of $1,100 on StockX and only retailed for $160 per pair. Collaborations with CLOT and Undefeated may not be as valuable but they were still very popular and sold out instantly. That is why concept art such as this LV x Air Max 90 Silver Dust is so exciting to see as a collaboration with LV would make sneaker news headlines everywhere.
Uppers on this sneaker are constructed with mesh and leather as usual with silver mesh and dark grey overlays with LV monograms. LV’s monograms appear under grey and silver specked hues on the toes, side panels, and mudguards that run all the way to the back of the Air Max 90’s upper. The rear quarters also feature white cutouts with matching speckled grey Air Max embossed branding on each shoe’s lateral sides. Toe boxes, on the other hand, are silvery mesh that appears to sparkle, similar to fresh silver ores. Matching the similarly constructed collars.
Moving up, black leather lower eye stays are tucked under plastic black eyelet panels and contrasted by traditional white laces that overlay the black throats of this concept. Black tongues are further contrasted by crisp white tongue tags that are detailed by black Nike Air branding. Black sock liners and interiors are also visible, likely leading down to black or white insoles with additional black or white branding. Black heel pieces are also visible while clean white midsoles and black outsoles finish off the design. For more concept art such as this, stay tuned!
