The Air Max 90 is possibly a sneaker with one of the most colorways available on the market. These sneakers have paneling that opens up a slew of possibilities to do whatever you please with and Nike has taken this opportunity to continue the line, and keep it popular to this day. Likewise, concept artists have also done the same and continue to release a myriad of colorways that are either inspired by past releases or are exceptionally decent original colorways. Although sometimes, the concepts do turn out to be flops, in most cases they’re actually quite fire. Presenting now, the Air Max 90 Stardust!
The moniker appears to be derived or inspired by the famous pack by Nike in 2020. The pack is known as the “Supernova” pack and featured 3 very unique colorways. The sneakers in it featured various combinations of colors to represent different parts of the Galaxy and the milky way and honestly, they looked excellent. Especially the Nike Air Max 90 which features purple overlays, representing the deepness of space as well as various yellow and red blotches that represent nebulas. This time, concept artists release something that is somewhat similar. Possibly a nod at the new era of space exploration with the newly released images from the James Webb telescope!
Coming to the design of this sneaker, the uppers feature a mix of salmon, pink, and grey hits with a touch of purple. The signature parts of this concept are likely the toe boxes and the matching collars that feature a purple backdrop and are speckled with twinkling stars with varying brightness levels, indicating the closeness or brightness of a star. The toes, on the other hand, are grey leather and extend onto the side panels of the sneakers.
The lower eye stays are also grey leather and are tucked underneath salmon plastic eye stays while grey throats are wrapped up in matching grey laces. Moving up, you’ll find grey tongues contrasted by salmon tags and Hyper Pink “Nike Air” branding. Meanwhile, a sharp contrast is provided by the sock liners and the interiors that don bright pink hues, likely leading down to more pink inserts with branding. Heel pieces also appear to feature a salmon hue with more embossed branding while side panels are overlain by a vibrant pink leather Swoosh.
