Feminine colorways are difficult to pull off as you never know what the best combination is because sometimes the colorways go terribly wrong in one direction or become too girly. This time, however, concept artists seem to have hit it out of the park yet again with their latest concept art on the Nike Air Max 90 which appears to feature a combination of dark purple leather and violet canvas. Presenting, the Nike Air Max 90 Violet Canvas which features violet, indigo, and white shades all over the upper. There have not been any similar colorways that are done up as well as this in recent memory!
The Air Max 90 is no longer a sneaker that people resell often. In fact, they don’t even sell out anymore and can be usually seen on shelves ready to be bought off a retail store. However, this has less to do with its hype and more to do with the supply of the sneaker as Nike continues to release a barrage of new colorways every month. As a result, the ultra-hyped colorways sell out while the mediocre ones are left out which makes it ideal for sneakerheads as they have more options. Some non-OG colorways, however, are hidden gems and inspire art such as this Air Max 90 Violet Canvas.
Uppers on this sneaker feature a leather and suede build with mostly violet canvas and indigo and white leather. Violet canvas appears on the toes and the side panels while the clean white mesh is featured on the toe boxes. Moving up, white lower leather eye stays are tucked underneath dark indigo eyelet panels while the white throats are wrapped up by crisp white traditional laces. Moving up, you’ll find a pair of white tongues in a regular fashion, contrasted by indigo tongue tags and pink “Nike Air Max” branding.
Sock liners are also white and lead down to white interiors. Although we cannot see it, I also expect indigo inserts with additional violet Nike Air branding. The heel tabs are also not visible but we can make out indigo heel pieces that likely also don embossed branding. Side panels feature white cropped leather Swooshes while indigo mudguards extend all the way to the rear with pink cutouts with purple embossed Air Max branding.
