We are back with yet another Jordan Brand colourway leak, hot-off-the-press we have the new and upcoming Air Jordan 13 ‘Court Purple’. Anticipated to release this fall season, the sneaker looks to have the potential to be a real contender amongst the top Air Jordan 13 heavyweights.
There has been a handful of recent Air Jordan 13 releases that have paid tribute to NBA PE (Player Exclusive) colourways from the early 2000s. Similarities can be found from Nike GR’s (general releases) that seem to have been reworked from PE’s such as Celtics, Lakers and Magic PE’s for legendary Fred Jones, Q-Rich, Ray Allen and now Kevin Martin with the ‘Red Flint’. There’s also whispers from highly trusted sneaker-insider “@SHOF” who predicts that there could be yet another PE inspired GR on the horizon, with a Black, White and Court Purple edition linking to Mike Bibby’s Air Jordan 13 Low PE. Stay tuned for more on that front.
As is always the case, the mock-up is exciting and seems to be the best case scenario. The upper has experimented with different materials including soft perforated leather on the tongue, soft velvet-like suede on the mid-foot and buttery leather on the toe box. The ‘Court Purple’ colour palette from Jordan Brand usually consists of black, white and purple, however this mock up is predominantly black and purple, leaving only a few white accents. It is aesthetically very nice, yet we can’t help but feel that a white midsole may make the sneaker pop a little more.
Jordan Brand’s ‘Court Purple’ palette has seen recent success with the releases of the Air Jordan 1 High (and Low) and the Air Jordan 3. We foresee the Air Jordan 13 silhouette to gain heavy street recognition and social media hype within 2021 due to the leaked colourways that Jordan Brand seem to be lining up. The ‘Court Purple’ and ‘Reverse Bred’ colourways in particular have already started to gain traction so it is well worth keeping an eye out on our website, where we can keep you updated on all release date information and news. Until then, take another look at the mock-up image of the new Air Jordan 13 ‘Court Purple’ below.
