A Questionable Colorway- The LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink

The Jordan 1 Mid is turning into a popular choice not only for fans that need a substitute for the almost unachievable High-top variants but also for concept artists that are picking up on the rising trend of these shoes. Gone are the days when the Air Jordan 1 Mid was left on the shelves collecting dust as they have gained new life after 2020 with new and improved colorways and the rise in popularity of Jordan Brand as a whole due to Michael Jordan’s Netflix “The Last Dance” documentary series. After the many we have already covered, we now present the LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink.

Women are starting with classics like the Jordan 1 (Mid), which have traditionally been more affordable for beginners — until now — and adding more streetwear and shoes into their outfits. According to GQ, sales of women’s Mid sizes have increased by 1,000% on StockX since 2019, helping the shoe’s total sales climb by 200%. This could also be related to the popularity of the Netflix documentary The Last Dance from 2020, which gave the Air Jordan 1 a unique view from consumers and a lifecycle extension. Despite the Mid’s long-standing negative reputation, its recent surge in popularity (and rising cost) is altering the story in a way that makes it seem like an unnoticed geek who became a popular jock.

Coming to the design of this LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink, the colorway is questionable and likely polarizing. However, we believe these would definitely make for a decent Women’s pair. Black tumbled leather covers the toes and the eye stays that are detailed by LV monograms in a light grey shade. The toe boxes are matte grey with the usual perforations while leading up to black throats that are wrapped up in neon pink laces.

The throats merge into the tongues that are also black and seemingly devoid of any kind of branding or contrast. Matching the laces are bright pink sock liners that likely lead down to pink interiors and inserts with additional branding. The rear quarters and the collar overlays complement the throats with black tumbled leather with more LV monograms in the same grey shade. Side profiles feature matte grey leather, matching the toe boxes while contrasted by neon pink leather Swooshes. Black midsoles and light blue outsoles complete the design.
