The Air Jordan 1 has been the canvas for some of the greatest colorways of all time. It has also been the canvas of some of the greatest collaborations of all time but usually, luxury fashion houses and celebrities choose the Low and High-Top Air Jordan 1 instead of the Mid. However, with the recently gained popularity of the Mids, it seems like Nike and other large companies may be looking to the Jordan 1 Mid for their next major collaboration. Concept artists have them beat though and have released this interesting piece that arguably could rival the Dior x Air Jordan 1 collaboration if done right in real life. Presenting, the LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Panda!
The Air Jordan 1 Mid does not have any notable collaborations and has usually been left on shelves or the secondary market, being sold for discounted prices if not at retail. However, people began to realize that since the Jordan 1 Highs were, in some cases, unachievable, they shifted towards the Mid-tops since they looked very similar and had recently started getting very decent colorways from Jordan Brand as well. The recent Jordan 1 Mid Chicago is a good example of this. Now, concept artists are giving the silhouette some love with their latest work.
These Air Jordan 1 Mids feature a black, white, and grey upper with LV monograms scattered throughout. If Nike decided to do a similar collab, a purely Black and White or “Panda” variant would be the colorway to go with owing to its recent popularity with the Nike Dunks. These feature black leather toes and eye stays with grey LV monograms all over, giving a slight contrast against the dark background.
The perforated toe boxes are grey and also covered in lighter LV monograms that are barely visible here. Moving up, you’ll find black throats that are enveloped in matching black laces that blend in nicely, complementing the other dark hits. The tongues are also black and feature matching tags with branding that’s covered up by the laces. A sharp contrast is provided by the sock liners that likely lead down to black interiors with matching white inserts and contrasting branding. The side profiles are also seemingly dark grey leather with contrasting white leather Swooshes. Black midsoles and white outsoles finish off the design. For more concept art, keep it here!
