Too Cold to Handle! – Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Ice’

Known to be a meme favourite on social media, the all-black Nike Air Force 1 Low often gets associated with ‘bad boys’, for lack of a better phrase. Whatever truth lies beyond the connotations is unknown, although if there ever was a sneaker that looked ‘mean’ it’s this one right here. The newest concept kick to be designed by Concept Kicks is no other than the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Ice’. Here we take a closer look

The sneaker is predominately black, as in jet-black, like they could get lost into the shadows of the night! In addition to the black, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Ice’ arrives with volt blue accents that look as if they could be seen from miles. This contrast between light and dark gives the sneaker an aesthetic like no other, like most great sneakers, the colours bounce and compliment off one another perfectly.

The upper consists of black laces, stitching and meshing which all sit amongst a leather base layer. The traditional tongue tabs and Nike branding are also stitched in all-black, providing for a distinct incognito theme. Foregrounding the sneaker are the bright volt blue accents which arrive on the Nike side swoosh and metallic lace tab. Fitted with volt blue stitching, the side swoosh flows around the sneaker and has the capacity to seriously turn some heads on the street.

The Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Ice’ is a fantastic looking sneaker and one which we would love to see materialise from Nike somewhere in the near future. That being said, this is just a mock-up provided by Custom Kicks so it is unlikely that a general release will come of it. Nike do however, offer their custom ID service which enables you to create your own colourway of the Air Force 1 – Like the ‘Black Ice’ so much, perhaps have a go at replicating it via Nike’s ID service!

For now, stay tuned as we have a long range of custom mock-ups set to release over the next few weeks – watch this space!
