The All-new Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Dark Rage’

This month has turned out to be one for black and red sneakers, with the emergence of the highly controversial Nike x Lil Nas x MSCFH Air Max ‘Satan’, the Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Raging Bull’ and the Nike Air Force 1 low ‘Lava’ Concept. Concept Kicks is back with yet another hot mock-up on the Nike Air Force 1 low silhouette, similar to the recent ‘Lava’ concept, the ‘Dark Rage’ arrives with in a jet-black and crimson red colourway. Here we take a closer look.

The black and red colourway is notorious when it comes to sneaker culture, mainly thanks to Michael Jordan and his collaboration with Nike on the ‘Bred’ and ‘Chicago’ Jordan sneaker colourways having dominated the NBA with the Chicago Bulls. The new Air Force 1 low ‘Dark Rage’ concept arrives with a predominately jet black upper, in a matte leather finish. Branding, trim, lacing and stitching complete the all-black aesthetic and further enhance the sneakers main attraction – the crimson red accenting. Nike’s notorious side swoosh stands out in a bright crimson red hue, which can also be found on the metallic lace tab which sits below the lacing ladder. Although these two features are all that separate the mock-up from the all-black classic Air Force 1, they are bold enough to give the sneaker a completely unique aesthetic.

That being said, the lower half of the sneaker remains the same as the classic. Both the midsole and outsole arrive with all-black styling and detailing, including the heel’s ‘Air’ logo. Similar to our previous concept mock-up, the Air Force 1 low ‘Lava’, this ‘Dark Rage’ edition is surely one to not only turn heads on the street, but also influence others to customise their own pair. A feat easily done, considering the vast similarities to the highly accessible classic all-black silhouette.

Be sure to stay tuned as we are set to be back with more highly anticipated custom sneakers in the weeks to come. Watch this space!
