Following on from the vast popularity surrounding our previous concept sneaker, the Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Brady Effect’, we are back with yet another concept design. This time we take a look at the New York heavyweight silhouette that is, the notorious Air Force 1 Low.
The Air Force 1 Low has been celebrated for many reasons and colourways, but the most iconic has to be the all-white Air Force 1 Low. Proven to be timeless, the silhouette has been remastered and reworked on many occasions, including some hot collaborations with major streetwear heavyweights. Here we take a look at the latest mock-up by Concept Kicks, which is sure to turn heads and make some noise on the streets.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Red Lantern’ arrives with an all-over crimson red base. Bright enough to light up a dark room, the sneaker has been designed with one purpose in mind, to make a statement. The sneaker is predominantly red, with the upper, midsole, inner lining, laces and stitching, all arriving in the crimson hue. That being said, the sneaker arrives with a grey Nike swoosh that we believe has the potential to be 3M reflective. This in itself helps to contribute to the overall theme of the sneaker and it’s ‘stand-out’ nature.
Highly representative of its name, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Red Lantern’, not only stands out like a bright light, but subtly represents inspiration from China and the Chinese lantern. The colours for one is evidence of this, but not only that, the sneaker seems to incorporate a jet-black design on the rear heel of the sneaker which is also reminiscent of a lantern.
As you may know by now, this sneaker in question is one which is a mock-up provided by Concept Kicks. However, with the emergence of the sneaker customization scene within streetwear culture, this could very well be a design that could be found on the feet of any major sneakerhead.
