The All-New Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Midnight Maroon’

The Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro, a sneaker that that has been at the top of the trends list in recent years for many commendable reasons. We have seen various collaborations and mock-ups that has catapulted the silhouette to become the second most sought after Jordan retro in the past two years. Second only to the streetwear fan-favourite that is the Nike Air Jordan 1 Hi Retro. And if the Air Jordan 4 silhouette wasn’t heated enough, we have an all new and exciting concept that’s set to turn a few heads or two – The Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Midnight Maroon’.

As you may recall, we previously published an article showcasing our ‘Midnight Maroon’ concept on the Nike Air Max 90. This proved to be a big hit and we expect our new mock-up to follow suit of it’s custom collection sibling. Let’s take a closer look.

At first glance, the sneaker is a showstopper by any means. With nothing currently available to the wider sneaker market that resembles the shoe, the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro has the potential to become ‘grail’ status for many. Similar to its Air Max 90 counterpart, the sneaker is predominately one colour. The maroon red hue can be found draped over the entire the sneaker as if it has been liquid dipped. Staying true to traditions, the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Midnight Maroon’ incorporates metallic lace tabs, although they are finished with a bright orange undertone to accent the base colour and comply with the overall theme of the custom collection. In addition to this, the sneaker boats a bright orange Jumpman logo that can be found in the centre of the branding patch on the tongue. Although the accents are small and subtle, they provide depth and allow the sneaker to showcase an aesthetic like no other.

It’s hard to decide between the Air Jordan 4 and the Air Max 90 when it comes to the ‘Midnight Maroon’ custom collection. This being said, one thing that’s certain is that custom sneaker concepts like this offer a variety of creative ideas for future releases and provide an opportunity for sneaker customizers to imitate trending mock-ups.
