It’s not the first time that we’ve seen Sneakez dabble in with the lagoon colorway on a Nike silhouette. Last time, we saw the custom Nike Air Jordan 4 make an appearance, a shoe which was welcomed with open arms amongst our online following. Next up, we see an all-new concept make it’s way on the notorious Nike Air Max 90 silhouette. 

Upon first glance, its easy to see that this is a serious contender for summer shoe of the year. The turquoise blue hue is a signature of the ‘Lagoon’ series and reminiscent of the blue featured on the Miami Dolphins uniform. Easy to see then, how the Miami Dolphins won the award for ‘Jersey of the Year’ by NFLUK. The upper arrives with a two-tone color scheme; the toe-box, Nike side swoosh, ankle mesh panels and tongue are all brandished in jet-black. Whereas the leather side panels, toe-box panelling, laces ladder, rubber lace tabs, inner ankle lining, side Air Max branding and Nike Air logo all steal the show with the tradition lagoon blue hue. 

As we move onto the lower half of the shoe, we can see that Sneakerz has once again decided to go for the all-one-color look with the Air Max 90. Similar to the ‘Burnout’ edition which was featured last week, the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Lagoon’ matches the full midsole and outsole with the rest of the shoe. The traditional Air unit built in to the midsole, arrives fully smoked out. A decision we feel is perfect as it not only provides a nod to the rest of the sneaker, but compliments the color-blocking structure tremendously. 

It’s starting to feel as though the Nike Air Max range may very well be back on the rise, similar to how it dominated in the early 90’s. Be sure to watch this space as we expect Sneakerz to release more new and exciting mock-up designs within the very near future!
