For better or worse, it’s not every day that we see Nike experiment with such bold and vibrant colors. For some it’s a concept that does not happen enough, that’s why it’s always exciting to come across creative and vibrant concepts such as this to get people talking. The all-new Nike Air Max 90 ‘Tropic’ is just that, a sneaker that is sure to get people talking! Here we take a closer look.
The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Tropic’ is nothing like your average Air Max release. As the name would suggest, the sneaker offers vibrant tropical vibes thanks to the creative colorway. The upper is predominantly black, featuring a meshing toe box and leather side panels. White accents offer a monochrome contrast on the inner ankle lining, lacing and ladder base, which all arrive in white. The two foregrounding features have to be the turquoise blue (similar to the tiffany blue we see on other Nike heavyweight releases, such as the Nike Tiffany Dunk and Nike Atmos Air Max 1), and the volt yellow accents. The traditional Nike Air branding is embroidered using volt yellow whilst the Nike side swoosh is finished in turquoise blue. Although these accents are subtle on the upper, they are reinforced by the shoe’s bold lower features.
The midsole arrives bold, vibrant, and extremely eye-catching. Volt yellow surrounds the shoe and is only broken up by the Air Unit surrounding panel which is finished in white – a smart move as this compliments the laces perfectly. As for the outsole, the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Tropical’ once again refers back to the turquoise blue and showcases an additional layer of color.
We can’t help but think that the new Nike Air Max 90 ‘Tropic’ is the perfect blend between subtle and loud. this sneaker will undoubtedly be well received by many sneakerheads with Air Max fans in particular super keen to get their hands on an early pair. Watch this space!
