Jordan brand personifies everything we know about Michael Jordan, the 6x world champion. A sports hero both on and off the court, and a legend who dominated his way into the history books. The Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Brady Effect’ celebrates the football legend as the shoe arrives in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers color scheme. An admirable concept, considering it shares the same palette as Michael’s first AJ4, the Bred (Chicago Bulls colorway). The upper consists of a mix of premium materials that truly depict legendary status. Predominantly soft tumbled leather, the sneaker showcases gentle wrinkles which represents the high-quality butter leather. Although the sneaker is mainly jet-black, the concept offers a grey toe guard to complete the Buccaneers color signature, in addition to the crimson red accents. Alongside the nubuck and suede highlights, the ‘Brady Effect’ AJ4 arrives with chrome lace tabs which somewhat signifies the metallic world championship rings – Bold and eye-catching.
Moving on to the midsole, it remains similar to the ‘Bred’ Air Jordan 4, although the grey section has been swapped out for an all-white aesthetic. This allows the sneaker to flow from the toe box through to the heel and adds more visual depth. The all-red outsole is the perfect feature to complement the crimson red heel tab and tongue detailing.
Although the Air Jordan 4 ‘Brady Effect’ is just an imagined PE, we wouldn’t put it past Jordan Brand to announce a release dedicated to the man. A feat this bold will be sure to break the internet and have a few sneakerheads pitching tents outside retail stores for a chance to get their hands on such a unique and limited sneaker. One thing which is for certain, is that Tom Brady will go down in history books the same was Michael Jordan has and we excited to see what the future holds for such an inspirational figure.
