The Air Force 1 Low is back in a colorway that just recently appeared on the ultra-popular Nike Dunk Low. The Dunk Low White University Red wore OG color tones and it was a massive hit for sneaker fanatics and resellers alike. This time, sneaker concept artists may have taken notice and might be trying to implement some of these new color tones on different silhouettes, resulting in designs like this crisp white Air Force 1 Low with bright red hits. The Air Force 1 is probably the most important sneaker in urban areas in the US such as Harlem and Bronx which is why they’re also known as Uptowns or Uptowners. This silhouette is commonly believed to be the first to be called such a title but that’s far from the truth. The pro-ked 69er was the first “Uptown” sneaker. Only a design special enough was fit to replace that shoe which is where the Air Force 1 came in and dominated the street scene. The timeless design of the AF1 is probably why this silhouette is so experimented on by custom designers and artists that make concepts such as this Air Force 1 Low White University Red.
The uppers on this design feature a smooth leather material by the looks of it, indulging in a crisp white shade all over with slight contrasting red hits. Clean white leather appears on the toes, the side panels, the heel overlays, and on the perforated toe boxes that are customary to all other Air Force 1 Lows. Sitting above the toe boxes are white leather eye stays that are contrasted and passed through by vibrant titular laces, enveloping the throats and ending with a small white lace Deubré that likely features barely visible “AF1” text.
White tongues are contrasted by blazing red tags with black “Air force 1” and “Nike” textual branding. The tongues and laces are further complemented by red sock liners and interiors that likely feature white inserts with additional red branding. Though we don’t have a peak of the heel tabs, it appears that they feature white leather and if we use our imagination, red “Nike” embroidery would look pretty good on them. Bright red lateral Swooshes, red midsoles, and clean white outsoles finish off the look.
