Luxury fashion houses and high-end sneakers make a great combination for sneaker enthusiasts and resellers alike. Concept artists have caught onto this trend and are currently releasing a slew of fictional collaborations between French/Italian fashion houses and popular sneaker brands such as Air Jordan and Adidas, similar to what has been done in actuality in the last couple of years. This time, the artists bring us something special yet again and with a colorway that may not be everyone’s cup of tea but will surely strongly appeal to many as well. Gucci has collaborated with sneaker manufacturers a bunch of times. In fact, they have collaborated with Nike on a number of their sneakers, all of which are highly valuable on the secondary market. Although not an official collaboration, Nike paid homage to the luxury fashion house with a popular Nike SB Dunk Low Reptile Gucci in 2015. It was a regular SB Dunk Low but with special hits nodding at Gucci’s signature hues. They are worth over $600 on the secondary market even though they retailed for around $90. Another popular mention is the Air Force 2 High Gucci that dons a black upper with Gucci’s green and red hits, currently worth around $400 on the secondary market. The upper on this sneaker features multiple patterns in a tan, brown, and dark maroon hue all over. What appears to be tan canvas covers the toe with Gucci’s monogram logo that extends towards the front side panels. The toe boxes feature a darker material with monogram patterns that extend all the way to the side panels and the rears. Above the toes are netted tan mesh panels on the throats wrapped up in traditional maroon laces and attached to 4 metallic grey eyelet panels.
Above, you’ll find matching tan tongues with patterned brown tongue tags and white Jump-Man branding. Sock liners, on the other hand, are maroon and lead down to matching interiors with possibly matching inserts and additional branding, complementing the heel pieces on the rear.
