Hot or Not? – The Air Force 1 ‘Orange Splash’

Concept artists are usually looking to experiment by adding in wild color tones. Or even combinations that the Swoosh would likely never attempt to implement. Going beyond the norm is usually how these artists operate. This Air Force 1, however, takes on a more tamed approach that still ends up being unique.

Although possibly reminiscent of various other colorways. Surprisingly no other Air Force 1 Low comes close even if you scrutinize Nike’s unending portfolio of AF1 Low colorways.

This is a testament to the continuing creativity of some of these concept artists. Even after arrays of various color combinations, they’re still pushing out original color concepts!

Air Force 1 Splash Orange | A Closer Look

The Air Force 1 Orange Splash dons primarily a jet black upper. Seen before on various other concepts such as on the recent Air Force 1 Low Volt Orange.

This jet-black shade covers the perforated toe boxes and the scuff guards. The latter features a “Mantra Orange” tiny Swoosh on the forefoot.

Continuing up the throats are more jet-black shades with white laces enveloping them. If they’re too mundane for you, you can always swap them out for a blazing orange pair to match the overlays.

These laces go through leather eye stays that are black at the start, white in the centre, and black again at the very end.

Throats lead up to a pair of dark tongues with black tongue tags. These tags are detailed with contrasting “Mantra Orange” “Nike Air” branding with subtle “Air Force 1” texts sitting underneath.

These tongues are situated in front of black sock liners and interiors. Interiors are likely branded with additional orange “Nike Air” branding on the footbeds.

Side panels feature clean white leather which seemingly segments the sneaker into 3 portions. Adding a stark contrast to these kicks are Orange Splash Swooshes on each side.

This hue is seen on the recent Air Force 1 Low Mantra Orange (2021) in a similar fashion. Underfoot, crisp white midsoles with an embossed “Air” logo sit above matching white outsoles.

We’re not quite sure what to make of these, however, one thing’s for certain, the creativity of some sneaker artists knows no bounds.
