A WMNS Size Potential Classic? – The LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Bordeaux Fusion

The Air Jordan 1 Mid has mostly been a straight-up performance sneaker for basketball, however, certain collaborations have changed its image into being a fashion icon and a staple for many. The Dior x Air Jordan 1 collaboration showed that these kicks can be as luxurious and dressed up as any other luxury footwear. The Jordan 1 Dior collaboration has been reselling for thousands of dollars over retail and is still among the most valuable on the market. They have likely inspired concept artists to create more fictional collaborations like this. Presenting, the LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Bordeaux Fusion!

When Mids had a reputation for being less opulent, their appeal decreased, and the name “mid,” which denotes anything as being below average, didn’t help either. Collectors don’t want to be seen wearing a “mid” shoe, but many are unaware that the buzz around sneakers is actually fueled by much more analytical factors. Unfortunately, it appears that the passion for collecting sneakers today has less to do with nostalgia and more to do with marketing tactics. Despite a few exceptions, mids have a negative reputation among fans. Collaborations such as one with Louis Vuitton, however, will certainly make headlines.

Coming to the design of these opulent new concepts, the uppers feature a mix of Bordeaux and Fusion pink hues. The toes feature tumbled leather pink with brighter pink Louis Vuitton monograms scattered throughout. The toe boxes, on the other hand, are matte maroon with perforations that lead up to white throats that are wrapped up in matching white laces. The tongues are also Bordeaux with white contrasting backgrounds.

Bright pink sock liners possibly lead down to matching pink or Bordeaux interiors with contrasting branding. The collars of the shoe are also titular with barely visible Jordan Wings motifs embossed on top. Perhaps a bit of contrast there would have served this concept well in our opinion. The side panels feature leather dressed in a dark pink shade with matching LV monograms in a lighter pink tinge. The Side profiles are then overlain by bright pink leather Swooshes. Dark maroon midsoles and clean white outsoles finish off the design. For more concept art such as this, keep it here!

Too Much? – The LV x Air Max Plus Spiderman

Concept artists are always cooking up some crazy art that sometimes works and other times does not. It is all about experimentation and this time it is no different. Without the confidence needed for such experimentation, we would not be greeted by a slew of incredible concept art from artists. We also would not have the various interesting sneakers and colorways from brands such as Nike and Yeezy that continue to innovate and change. On the other hand, it also leads to a handful of monstrosities. This time, artists bring together a strange mix of hues and present it as a Louis Vuitton collaboration. Presenting, the LV x Nike Air Max Plus Spiderman!

On paper, the shoe and related technology were incredible, but that would turn out to be a problem. Designer McDowell was advised that the sort of fading upper he had imagined would not be able to produce. He responded simply, if not naively, with “We’ll just sublimate it.” McDowell was inspired by the Nike Flame running spike and believed it was possible to produce the sort of ombre effect he envisioned; once more, his inexperience as a designer within Nike nourished his fantasies. He instructed the facility to print over the lightest color in progressively darker tones. Only one sample was required to produce the desired result and the rest is history. Today, we still see colorways and concept art on this sneaker which is a testament to its success.

The uppers on this sneaker, at first glance, show that it’s a fictional collaboration with various LV monograms on them. The colorway reminds us of the famous hues on the Spiderman suit that consists of dark blue and contrasting red hits. The toes on this feature a light blue piece that gets darker as you progress from the front to the sides and then the rear. Blue segments with apparently plastic pieces cause a ripple-like effect throughout the sneaker. Under which is a canvas-like upper with light LV monograms scattered throughout.

The throats on the shoe are dark navy with matching laces that cover them up nicely. These laces are attached to individual lighter blue eyelets and bordered by a sharply contrasting red lace around them. The tongues are navy with slight detailing while lighter blue sock liners lead down to light midsoles. Light blue midsoles with contrasting red Air Units and red rugged outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stick around.

Louis On The Plus!- The LV x Air Max Plus Laser Blue

2023 is starting off as a year full of concept art on fictional collaborations and exciting sneaker releases. We have already seen a number of fictional art collaborations on the Air Jordan 4 and a few other Air Max models but the Air Max Plus has not seen a collaboration when it comes to concept art or ever when it comes to real life. At least no collaborations such as the Dior x Air Jordan or any of that magnitude. Perhaps the most notable collaborations are the Supreme x Air Max Plus from 2020 that released in a black and a white variant. Now, we present the LV x Air Max Plus Laser Blue concept art!

The Air Max Plus was a wonder of footwear design in the late ’90s since it featured a number of technology advancements at the time in addition to being admired for its aesthetically distinctive design characteristics. The Plus was the first Nike shoe with Tuned Air, which is very noteworthy. It was a significant development for Nike, which had previously concentrated on maximizing the size of the Air unit. Instead of using brute force, a more sensitive method was used to disperse the air such that it would be effective and stable for the wearer. They were able to lessen pressure in the heel while enhancing cushioning thanks to the Tuned Air unit’s inclusion of what Nike coined hemispheres—solid half-spheres put into the sole and Air unit. It’s not a wonder that we still see concept art such as this on this iconic silhouette.

Coming to the design of this subtle yet alluring colorway, uppers feature a three-tone blue upper with 3 different shades of blue including teal hits. The toes start off with a matte blue piece that extends towards the side panels and the rears, getting progressively darker after the toes end. LV’s influence can be seen all over the upper with light grey/blue LV monograms scattered throughout in what appears to be a stitched fashion.

The throats also carry the same shade of blue while wrapped up in matching dark blue laces that blend right in. A bright strip of neon teal borders the throats in an eye stay-like fashion and provides a contrast to the otherwise monochrome design. A lighter blue hue covers the sock liners and likely also the interiors and inserts with additional branding. Small teal side Swooshes, blue midsoles with Teal Air Units, and teal outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!

Rivaling The Dior AJ1?- The LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Panda

The Air Jordan 1 has been the canvas for some of the greatest colorways of all time. It has also been the canvas of some of the greatest collaborations of all time but usually, luxury fashion houses and celebrities choose the Low and High-Top Air Jordan 1 instead of the Mid. However, with the recently gained popularity of the Mids, it seems like Nike and other large companies may be looking to the Jordan 1 Mid for their next major collaboration. Concept artists have them beat though and have released this interesting piece that arguably could rival the Dior x Air Jordan 1 collaboration if done right in real life. Presenting, the LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Panda!

The Air Jordan 1 Mid does not have any notable collaborations and has usually been left on shelves or the secondary market. However, people began to realize that since the Jordan 1 Highs were, in some cases, unachievable, they shifted towards the Mid-tops since they looked very similar and had recently started getting very decent colorways from Jordan Brand as well. The recent Jordan 1 Mid Chicago is a good example of this. Now, concept artists are giving the silhouette some love with their latest

These Air Jordan 1 Mids feature a black, white, and grey upper with LV monograms scattered throughout. If Nike decided to do a similar collab, a purely Black and White or “Panda” variant would be the colorway to go with owing to its recent popularity with the Nike Dunks. These feature black leather toes and eye stays with grey LV monograms all over, giving a slight contrast against the dark background.

The perforated toe boxes are grey and also covered in lighter LV monograms that are barely visible here. Moving up, you’ll find black throats that are enveloped in matching black laces that blend in nicely, complementing the other dark hits. The tongues are also black and feature matching tags with branding that’s covered up by the laces. A sharp contrast is provided by the sock liners that likely lead down to black interiors with matching white inserts and contrasting branding. The side profiles are also seemingly dark grey leather with contrasting white leather Swooshes. Black midsoles and white outsoles finish off the design. For more concept art, keep it here!

Luxury Overload!- The Air Jordan 4 Ruby Red

The Air Jordan 4 returns for another potential all-time banger of a concept and this time, it is a fictional collaboration yet again. The Jordan 4 does not have any luxury concepts in real life but as this silhouette is slowly gaining traction as the most popular out of all Air Jordans, a collaboration hopefully starts to become inevitable. This rise in popularity is reflected in the increased number of colorways from Jordan Brand and a rise in concept arts. This month we’ve probably received more fictional collaborations than any other month in 2022. Presenting now, the alluring LV x Air Jordan 4 Ruby Red.

If you want to get into the sneaker game, the Air Jordan 4 today is a solid bet. The Air Jordan 1 even, with some OG colorways, is becoming harder to grab, but the Air Jordan 4s remain highly sought-after. However, the downside is that people who just want to rock a pair of AJ4s are finding it harder and harder to snatch up a new pair for themselves. If you have missed a recent drop (since they get sold out within minutes or even seconds), it can feel nearly impossible to secure one. Thankfully, you don’t need to wait for a release to admire concept art such as this LV x Air Jordan 4 Ruby Red.

Coming to the design, at first glance the moniker makes a lot of sense. The entire upper is shrouded in a deep red or maroon tinge that reflects the shine of a ruby. The toes of the shoe feature a red background with LV’s monograms stitched on them. The toe boxes are also a deep red which extends onto the side panels. Above the toe boxes are red netted throats that are wrapped up in matching red laces that almost blend right in.

The laces are hooped through red leather eye stays and metallic grey triangular eyelets that provide a subtle contrast. Above are red tongues with complementing LV monograms, maroon tags, and Infrared Jump-Man logos. The interiors are also red, likely with red inserts with additional Infrared logos. Netted side panels overlain by red triangular pieces, dark red midsoles with exposed Air Units, and bright red outsoles finish off the design. For similar concept art and more, stick around!

A Legendary Colorway- The Air Max Plus Red October

One of the most popular and sought-after sneakers to ever release was Yeezy and Nike’s Nike Air Red Octobers, which made sneaker news headlines everywhere and was the start of a new era for sneakers and sneakers culture. Following this release was the introduction of celebrity sneakers which were released every once in a while, that were extremely hyped and also lead to the Yeezy brand in 2015 with Adidas. This time, it appears that concept artists seek to commemorate that colorway by implementing it on another Nike OG silhouette in the Air Max Plus! Presenting, the Nike Air Max Plus Red October!

McDowell, the creator, had something that the other designers lacked: A sketchbook full of palm trees bowed by the wind and Florida sunsets. McDowell spent some time in Florida before beginning his career at Nike, when he “laid around on the beaches and simply pondered and sketched,” recalling that “it was one of [his] most creative moments.” Like any footwear creator, the young designer saw the palm trees swaying in the breeze and thought, “Those palm trees would create a [wonderful] quarter panel like you could keep your foot down with those palm trees.” After a few months passed, McDowell’s Florida evenings came to mind when he received information on the Foot Locker initiative, which was then known as “Sky Air.” He began drawing colorful sunsets with a variety of palm trees, from artistic to geometric, as soon as he heard the term. From then, the Air Max Plus was created.

Today, the sneakers are still selling well and now, we have a slew of new concept art to admire on this silhouette. Coming to the design of this sneaker, it is unlike any other Air Max and looks way more futuristic. It is shrouded in a “Red October” hue with an orange tinge covering the entire shoe. Segmentation with a plastic-like material can be seen throughout the upper, going from the front to the back like ripples.

The throats feature a matching orange hue that is wrapped in traditional red laces that match the rest of the sneaker. The eye stays are seemingly non-existent and the only thing bordering the throats seems to be a darker lace. Tongues feature a matching orange tinge with slight detailing while the interiors are also similar. On the sides are small black Swooshes while orange midsoles with full-length visible Air cushions and rugged red outsoles finish the design. For similar concept art, stay tuned for more!

A Questionable Colorway- The LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink

The Jordan 1 Mid is turning into a popular choice not only for fans that need a substitute for the almost unachievable High-top variants but also for concept artists that are picking up on the rising trend of these shoes. Gone are the days when the Air Jordan 1 Mid was left on the shelves collecting dust as they have gained new life after 2020 with new and improved colorways and the rise in popularity of Jordan Brand as a whole due to Michael Jordan’s Netflix “The Last Dance” documentary series. After the many we have already covered, we now present the LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink.

Women are starting with classics like the Jordan 1 (Mid), which have traditionally been more affordable for beginners — until now — and adding more streetwear and shoes into their outfits. According to GQ, sales of women’s Mid sizes have increased by 1,000% on StockX since 2019, helping the shoe’s total sales climb by 200%. This could also be related to the popularity of the Netflix documentary The Last Dance from 2020, which gave the Air Jordan 1 a unique view from consumers and a lifecycle extension. Despite the Mid’s long-standing negative reputation, its recent surge in popularity (and rising cost) is altering the story in a way that makes it seem like an unnoticed geek who became a popular jock.

Coming to the design of this LV x Air Jordan 1 Mid Blue Pink, the colorway is questionable and likely polarizing. However, we believe these would definitely make for a decent Women’s pair. Black tumbled leather covers the toes and the eye stays that are detailed by LV monograms in a light grey shade. The toe boxes are matte grey with the usual perforations while leading up to black throats that are wrapped up in neon pink laces.

The throats merge into the tongues that are also black and seemingly devoid of any kind of branding or contrast. Matching the laces are bright pink sock liners that likely lead down to pink interiors and inserts with additional branding. The rear quarters and the collar overlays complement the throats with black tumbled leather with more LV monograms in the same grey shade. Side profiles feature matte grey leather, matching the toe boxes while contrasted by neon pink leather Swooshes. Black midsoles and light blue outsoles complete the design. Another Lux Collab! – The LV x Air Jordan 4 Laser Blue

Concept artists have dug into the world of lux collaborations as they release even more fictional partnerships with brands such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton. The idea is great and although Jordan Brand has never really collaborated with LV, it definitely is possible and would not be the first time the luxury fashion house partnered up with the Jump-Man. The Air Jordan 4 is also a sneaker that’s riding the upward popularity wave as more and more people begin seeking them over the Air Jordan 2, 3, and 5. Now, artists release another concept in this LV x Air Jordan 4 Laser Blue!

As mentioned above, this would not be the only release of Nike with LV if it ever came to be. Nike recently collaborated with Louis Vuitton on the famous Air Force 1 Low and Mid. The releases were extremely limited, and even if you were ready for them, it would have been difficult to get your hands on a pair due to how exclusive they were. Only a handful made it out into the public, and the Brown Monogram colorways quickly became some of the most talked-about pairs, while other collaborations with LV and Off-White also generated major buzz.

Coming to the design of the LV x Air Jordan 4 Laser Blue, the uppers seem different than anything we have seen before. The colors resemble neither the Air Jordan 4’s traditional hues nor LV’s. A canvas-like dark navy material covers the toes with the famous LV monograms. Black canvas covers the toe boxes and extends onto the side panels. Netted throats are wrapped up in black traditional laces and hooped through black eyes stays and metallic black eyelet panels.

The tongues are also seemingly constructed with canvas detailed with monograms with grey borders, black tags, and laser blue Jump-Man logos. The interiors appear to be black while the rears feature laser blue contrasting pieces that are reminiscent of the Military Blue Air Jordan 4. The side panels also feature black mesh netting overlain by blue canvas triangular pieces with additional LV monograms. Black midsoles with matching black exposed Air Units along with laser blue contrasting outsoles finish off the design. Though we may be naïve, a similar collaboration may be very close to reality! Nothing Quite Like It! – The Air Jordan 1 Mid Neon Blue

It isn’t every day that you see concept art on the Air Jordan 1 Mid that looks completely unique. The Jordan 1 Mid has plenty of work done on it digitally by artists but this latest one looks completely unique to what Jordan Brand ever released. Usually, the Jump-Man releases colorways that have University Blue color tones with more contrasting hits rather than just a few bright teal contrasting hits but it works just fine in this case. Presenting, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Neon Blue!

The Air Jordan 1 Mid used to be the ugly duckling or the runt of the litter that no one really wanted and was somewhat treated as the knockoff of the OG Air Jordan 1 High. This was partly due to Michael Jordan not having worn them himself professionally during any games and also the fact that they may not look as good as the highs or lows to most. However, they honestly do not look that different and with the rise in hype and demand, people have started to settle for the Mids as they are easier to get your hands on. Now, you can easily pick up Air Jordan 1 Mids even in iconic color tones, such as the Air Jordan 1 Mid Chicago. However, that may change with time as well.

Coming to the design of this shoe, things are kept simple here by the artists with dark leather underlays and contrasting bright neon blue overlays. Black textured leather that’s also referred to as full-grain, covers the toes, eye stays, and heel overlays. A smoother leather covers the perforated toes of the sneaker which appears to be more matte than regular. Moving up, black tongues are contrasted by neon blue laces that partly cover the shoe’s tongues as well.

Tongues appear to be made out of nylon and should feature Air Jordan or Nike branding but that isn’t visible due to the lack of contrast. Sock liners are also black likely leading down to black interiors and matching black inserts with neon blue branding. The Jordan Wings motifs do not appear to show, likely because of no contrast but the large neon blue leather Swooshes make up for it with its dominating presence. Black midsoles and neon blue outsoles finish off the design. For similar content and more, stay tuned!

Truly Iconic – The Air Jordan 1 Mid Batman

The Air Jordan 1 is perhaps the most easily recognizable sneaker alongside the Air Force 1 and throughout history, has maintained its spot as one of the most important sneakers to ever see the light of day. What’s even better than its history is the paneling on the shoe that makes for a great canvas for concept artists and time after time, they continue to bring us fire new concepts. The one colorway Jordan Brand has been missing from their portfolio is a homage to the World’s Greatest Detective but concept artists continue to put the Jump-Man to shame. Presenting, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Batman!

It is a shame that Jordan Brand has never really indulged in the superhero world as much as it should have. There have been a couple of past releases that are interesting such as the Jordan 2012 Light Batman but they did not resell for a lot as the silhouette had low demand. Recently, The Air Jordan 1 did have a special-edition sneaker to celebrate the PlayStation Spiderman game and even a newer one releasing in 2023 but those releases are few and far in between. We believe fans would like colorways from Jordan Brand such as this concept but until then, feast your eyes!

The overall design of this colorway is pretty simple as it only features a black background with contrasting yellow hits. Thankfully, less is more and that could not have been truer in this case. What seems to be tumbled leather covers the toes, the eye stays and the heel overlays. Smooth matte black leather covers the perforated toe boxes while transitioning up into smooth nylon tongues. These tongues are wrapped up in traditional bright yellow laces, the first nod at Batman and his logo.

Moving up, you see what appears to be nylon tongues with matching dark tags and branding that pretty much blends right in. Tongue and sock liners are also black and devoid of any contrast which blends right in. Coming to the sides, the design appears to be very plain apart from the large contrasting yellow Swooshes on the sides that really brings the design together. Black midsoles and bright yellow outsoles finish off the design. If interested in a similar pair, check out the Air Jordan 1 Mid Speed Yellow on the secondary market.
